Hi Anthony

This is a "it depends" answer!

If your store is a retail venture and your objective is to get as many people as possible to your store (in order to convert them to customers), then, yes, Reviews are excellent to have for two reasons. Firstly, the Reviews are written in the customer's own words and therefore may include keywords or phrases that you wouldn't normally use. This is great for attracting additional search engine traffic. Secondly, the Reviews assist in increasing the confidence level of visitors to buy from your store or to buy that particular product.

However, there may be times when you are using Zen Cart's functionality to sell products, but it may not be to the general public. In this situation you are not interested in search engine traffic and the product reviews can be seen as just extra clutter on the page.

That's the great thing about Zen Cart - it can cater for all sorts of stores.

Hope this helps,
Kerrin

Dear Kerin, You mentioned in one of your news letters how to turn off the review section in ZenCart store. Is getting reviews a good thing to have ? and if s why remove that option ? Thanks for your feed back, Anthony
