Enforce acknowledgement of your Zen Cart Privacy and Terms and Conditions Statements


There are times when you may require customers to agree to your stated terms and conditions or privacy policy in order to complete a purchase at your Zen Cart store.  This may be due to local laws or regulations in your country or to comply with the terms of your merchant agreement.

Zen Cart provides the following features:

  1. Confirm Privacy Notice During Account Creation Procedure
    With this feature, a section is added to the Login page for the customer to acknowledge and agree to your store’s privacy statement.  The checkbox must be ticked before the account creation process can be completed.

    Please acknowledge you agree with our privacy statement by ticking the following box.  The privacy statement can be read here.
    ? I have read and agreed to your privacy statement.

  2. Confirm Terms and Conditions During Checkout Procedure
    This feature is similar to above with the difference that the customer must acknowledge and agree to your terms and conditions statement as part of the checkout procedure.  The checkbox must be ticked before the checkout procedure can be completed.
