To change the number of products to be displayed in the Featured Products centerbox:

1. Log in to your Zen Cart store Admin
2. From the Configuration menu, select Maximum Values.
   
3. Select Maximum Display of Featured Products – Main Page and click the Edit button. 
   
4. Enter the number of products you wish to show in the Featured Products centerbox and then click the Update button.
    

Check the Featured Products centerbox on your Zen Cart store front.

To add or remove the ‘Quantity in Cart’ display on the product info page:

4. Select the Show Quantity in Shopping Cart setting. 
   
5. From the drop down menu, select either False (to remove) or True (to display) the Quantity in Shopping Cart on the Product Info page.  Click the Update button to save your setting.

To delete a product from your Zen Cart store catalog:

1. Log in to your Zen Cart store Admin.
2. From the Catalog menu, select Categories/Products.
   
3. Locate the category of the product that you wish to delete.
4. Next to the product you wish to delete, click the X (delete) icon.
    
5. In the next screen you will be asked ‘Are you sure?’ together with a list of the category or categories the product is listed in.  If the product selected has not been linked to appear in more than one category, click the Delete button.
   

   If the product has been linked to appear in more than one category, they are shown (as below).  The master category (the ‘owner’ category) is shown in red.  To delete the product completely (ie from all categories), click the Delete button.
   

   However, if you are looking to delete the product from the master category but keep the product in another category you will first need to change the master category.  So, in the example above, the product ‘Under Siege Linked’ would first need to be set so that the ‘Big Linked’ category is the master category to allow the product to be deleted from the ‘DVD Movies > Action’ category only.

Note:  If you are looking to remove a product from a category, rather than delete a product, try using the Multiple Categories Link Manager instead.

Zen Cart side columns are the containers for the sideboxes you wish to display in your Zen Cart store such as the Category sidebox and the Best Sellers sidebox.

There are two settings involved – the width of the side column and the width of the sideboxes.  Have a read of Getting to know the side columns in Zen Cart for examples showing the effect of different width settings.

To change the width of side columns in Zen Cart:

1. Log in to your Zen Cart store Admin
2. From the Configuration menu, select Layout Settings.
   
3. There are separate settings for the left and right columns.  The two columns do not need to be the same width.
   Select Column Width – Left and then click on the Edit button.
   
4. Enter the new width you would like the sidebox columns to be and click the Update button.
    
5. Follow the same steps if you also need to adjust the Column Width – Right setting.

In our example, we now have a wider left column but the sideboxes have not been changed to use the increased available space.  So, next step is to change the width of the sideboxes.

1. Log in to your Zen Cart store Admin
2. From the Configuration menu, select Layout Settings.
   
3. There are separate settings for the left and right sideboxes.  The left and right sideboxes do not need to be the same width.
   Select Column Width – Left Boxes and then click on the Edit button.
   
4. Enter the new width you would like the sideboxes to be and click the Update button.
    
5. Follow the same steps if you also need to adjust the Column Width – Right Boxes setting.

Check you store front for the result of your changes.  Here is our new wider left column and sideboxes.

To turn email salutation option on or off in Zen Cart:

1. Log in to your Zen Cart store Admin
2. From the Configuration menu, select Customer Details.
   
3. Select Email Salutation and click the Edit button.
   
4. Select true to activate the salutation or false to remove display of the salutation.  Click the Update button to save the setting.
