Below is the the Header Sales Text in the Simply Kerrin free Zen Cart template.

To change "Sales Message Goes Here" or "Tagline Here" in your Zen Cart template:

1. Open the header.php file located in the /includes/languages/english directory.
2. Find this section of code: 
   

   define('HEADER_SALES_TEXT', 'TagLine Here');

3. and modify the define statement as needed:
   

   define('HEADER_SALES_TEXT', 'Home of the finest widgets in the west!');

   ** Be sure to keep the single quote marks in your new define statement.
   
   

4. Save the modified header.php file to your override folder.  This will be /includes/languages/english/CUSTOM/ where CUSTOM represents the name of your current template folder.

Once you have the Like Box installed, make sure you test viewing your Zen Cart store both while logged into Facebook and also, more importantly, when you are not logged into Facebook.

If you receive this error “The page you are trying to access is restricted or unavailable” when you are not logged into Facebook, you probably have restrictions on who can view your Facebook page.  The error will look similar to the like box below.

To set your Facebook Like Box so that it is visible to everyone:

1. Login to your Facebook page.
2. Click the link to Edit Page, found under your picture/logo.
   
3. Click on Edit in the Settings section to Edit country restrictions, age restrictions and published status.
   
4. If you have any settings other than the defaults, Facebook will require your store visitors to be logged on to Facebook before displaying your Like Box in order to determine whether the visitor meets the criteria you’ve set here.   So, first check the Country Restrictions box.  This should be left blank.Next, check the Age Restrictions setting.  This needs to be set to the default Anyone (13+).And finally, the Published setting also needs to be the default of Published (publicly visible).

   Once you have these set, click on the Save changes button.
   

5. Now, your Like Box should display for all your Zen Cart store visitors and customers.

To disable quantity price discount in Zen Cart:

1. Log in to your Zen Cart store Admin
2. From the Configuration menu, select Attribute Settings
   
3. Select Enable Qty Price Discount and then click the Edit button.
   
4. Select False and then click the Update button.

To set your store to Maintenance Mode:

1. Log in to your Zen Cart store Admin.
2. From the Configuration menu, select Layout Settings.
   
3. Select Customer Greeting – Show on Index Page to edit.
   
4. Select either 0 to turn off the greeting or 1 to turn on the greeting on the Zen Cart store home page.  Next, click the Update button to save your preference.
    

Change the Zen cart Customer Greeting

1. Open the index.php file located in the /includes/languages/english directory.
2. Find this section of code:

   define('TEXT_GREETING_PERSONAL', 'Hello <span class="greetUser">%s</span>! Would you like to see our <a href="%s">newest additions</a>?');

3. and modify the define statement as needed.  For example:

   define('TEXT_GREETING_PERSONAL', 'Hi <span class="greetUser">%s</span>, nice to see you again. Thanks for shopping with us today!');

   ** Be sure to keep the single quote marks in your new define statement.
   

4. Save the modified index.php file to your override folder.  This will be /includes/languages/english/CUSTOM/ where CUSTOM represents the name of your current template folder.

This example assumes your Zen Cart default language is English.  Adjust accordingly to suit your language settings.

Zen Cart provides the following features:

   With this feature, a section is added to the Login page for the customer to acknowledge and agree to your store’s privacy statement.  The checkbox must be ticked before the account creation process can be completed.
