Please can you tell me how I add an image in to a table in EZ pages

Hello kerrin,
Please can you tell me how I add an image in to a table in EZ pages.
Maybe I am taking the wrong approach I want to add a coloring book onto my web page. A customer would click on the banner on the main page and would be linked to a book with pages to colour,(each page has small thumbnails that will enlarge for printing and coloring when clicked on)
Should I be putting the coloring book in a different location. I was going to develop it on the EZ pages.
Please can you give me some advice on best approach.
Thanks Pauline.

Hi Pauline

Using an EZ Page for thumbnail images that are linked to the enlarged version for printing and coloring sounds like a great idea. I would approach it this way.

Upload Images

For each image you will need the thumbnail version and the large version. To make things easy name each image so you can easily find it’s corresponding image, something like adirondack_cabin_tn.jpg and adirondack_cabin_fs.jpg. Using your favourite FTP program, upload all the images to a folder within your Zen Cart images folder. Take note of the location of the images so that you can link to them, ie http://www.store.com/images/adirondack_cabin_tn.jpg.

Create Table

To create a table on an EZ Page, use the Insert Table button from the HTML Content toolbar.

Create Table - EZ Pages

Select the number of rows and columns and any other settings you require.

Add Images

With your cursor in the required cell of the table, click on the Insert Image icon on the toolbar.

Insert Image - EZ Pages

In the popup window, type the full URL of the thumbnail image, eg http://www.store.com/images/adirondack_cabin_tn.jpg. You can also fill in the other details such as Alternate text (sometimes known as tooltips or help text) and the Horizontal and Vertical Spacing (this is useful if you are also adding text in the same table cell).

Insert Image - EZ Pages

Click the Preview button to ensure that the correct Image URL has been added and then click OK.

Adding hyperlinks

Click once on the image to select it. Then click on the Insert Web Link button on the toolbar.

Add Web Link - EZ Pages

Enter the URL for the full size image in the URL field, eg http://www.store.com/images/adirondack_cabin_fs.jpg. You can also add a Title and select if you wish the full size image to open in a new window.

Add Web Link

Save your EZ Page and check your work so far. Then repeat the steps until you have added all the images/links as required.

Hope this helps,
Kerrin
