I installed a new template in /include/templates - nothing too serious really. However, I've now lost the various content modules in left and right columns - any common error I have made you can point me to a resolution for?

This is how Zen Cart has been designed to work. All sideboxes are turned OFF when a new template is installed.

Select Layout Boxes Controller from the Tools menu. Scroll to the bottom of the next page and click on the Reset button. This will reset the sideboxes to the default settings.

This step is a very important part of changing templates, as sidebox template files may be included in the new template override files.

Note: This does not return to the sidebox setup of your previous template. After the sideboxes have been reset to the defaults, you will need to select your preferred layout. In other words, you will need to go through the sidebox list and turn each one on or off (and set the sort order) to get the layout you want for your store.
