This week the Zen Cart store in the spotlight is Elusive, the online store for clothing designed by surfers for surfers. This store design is great in that it really suits the product range and market audience and the showcase of categories is a nice change from the usual home page of products in a grid layout.

This week the Zen Cart store in the spotlight is Funky Wrapping – the name you think of when going to shop for high quality gift wrap and cards online! Recently undergoing a redesign, this online store showcases how Zen Cart is perfect in creating a modern, aesthetically pleasing and effective selling platform.

There are lots of elements in this design that I love, but in particular I am very impressed with the design and layout of the shopping cart page. The effective use of the ‘screen real estate’ in the header and footer sections is also very well done.

Hobby Link focuses on connecting like minded hobby enthusiasts with each other and with the products they are looking for. This Zen Cart store has a unique look and feel and has loads of customer features such as FAQ page, product reviews, user guides and a range of payment options.

Customer interaction is also encouraged with the integration of Facebook social tools such as the Fan Box and the Like Button.

Store in Spotlight: The Soap Dish

This week the Zen Cart store in the spotlight is The Soap Dish. This Zen Cart store invites the customer into the world of handmade soap. The store layout is kept simple and uncluttered while providing descriptive product listings, quality product images and interesting information pages. The store design suits the product range well.

Once again, I love an online store where the personality of the store owner shines through and this is another great example. Rather than the standard Zen Cart default of ‘Upcoming Products’, the Soap Dish has ‘Hanging out on the curing rack’. Can’t you just picture the freshly made soap bars all lined up curing on the rack? Another example from this online store is the use of ‘On the Menu’ instead of ‘Categories’. It is immediately clear that the products here are not some boring mass produced bars, rather products that have been carefully crafted by someone who is passionate about handmade soap.

This week the Zen Cart store in the spotlight is pyjamas.com.au – the Australian sleepwear specialists. Employing a beautiful custom design template and a feature slider, this store has a real clean and modern feel. I especially like the product listing (category) pages, the navigation icons and the custom footer. The design details, such as the shadow background for the product thumbnails, really set this Zen Cart store above the standard.

Store in Spotlight: Motorvista

This week the Zen Cart store in the spotlight is Motorvista, importer and distributor of motorcycle accessories. The custom design of this Zen Cart store suits both the product range and, I would think, a demographic of predominantly male customers. Motorvista have included a custom filter that enables shoppers to view only the products for their selected make, model and year of motorcycle. A nice addition to the product page is a visual indicator of product availability – products are shown as either ‘in stock’ or ‘limited/low stock’. I am presuming that there is also a ‘out of stock’ message too.

This store is very nicely done and includes lots of information and features for customers while still maintaining clean lines and great use of ‘white space’ to help make their shopping experience simple and relaxed.

This e-commerce solution, based on Zen Cart, is the complete package for online shoppers – a one-stop-shop for mineral-based products with gift ideas for the season, great promotions and specials, guides to ‘get the look’ and more.

It is easy to see that The Mineral Miracle is more than just a range of products for sale, instead it is also the place to go for product reviews, makeup and skin care trends as well as beauty advice and ‘how to’ articles. This Zen Cart store features multiple points of customer assurance, for example ‘best prices guarantee’, ‘satisfaction guarantee’, free shipping options and a contact telephone number. Wizard Satellite also offer a forum for all those technical discussions that are so important for this type of product range.

Specials and package deals are highlighted well and the modified center boxes and category pages help to display the individual products in a consistent and clear manner.

This sense of purpose really shines through with everything that the Clevershoppers online store offers – both in product range and their commitment to customer satisfaction.

This Zen Cart store is well laid out and really focuses on the shopping experience. Clevershoppers offer Savings Coupons, Reward Points, Gift Cards, Community Newsletters, Product Reviews as well as the basics of good product descriptions and quality product images.
